Girls Without Limits! is a program that encourages girls in science, math, economic
literacy, technology, business, public service, and self-esteem. It has been in operation since March of 1998, serving girls in four Olympia area schools. Formerly focused mainly on science and technology, Girls Without Limits! has expanded its curriculum to include economic literacy, business issues, public service and self-sufficiency.
The goal of Girls Without Limits! is to provide girls at an early age with the tools they will need to overcome the gender inequity they face in the academic and professional worlds. With extra hands-on mentoring in subjects such as economics, science, and government girls will learn about these highly important fields and establish the self-sufficiency and self-esteem they will need in order to succeed in their lives.
